He loves standing in his pack'n'play. We got some meds for his ear
infection and have been giving him motrin for his cold. Mom had to get
up early today and little man must have known because he went to bed
pretty easily and he only got up once or twice which is great compared
to what we have been dealing with. I think it helps that he had some
ear drops so his ear wasn't hurting. Thank God for a good night of
sleep!

Such a boy
Watching the news after a bath and before bed.
We made quite the mess out of the bathroom at Hoof and Horn tonight.
He went on the potty and all but he thought the tp roll was pretty fun
too. Then he stayed dry for the rest of dinner and while we were at
Hastings. So big!

Speaking of mall, I was there last Wednesday and a mom was there with her 2 kids ages 3 and 9 months. She was walking around holding the younger one's hands when the older one started getting a little bored. The mom played a genius game that I'm sure I've seen before but had forgotten. She played the listening game. She would give the child a few simple directions (go touch the bench, the turtle, and then come back) and off the little girl went.
I was reminded of this today when a mom was trying to get her 2 little kids to listen while in line to checkout. How nice would it be to say, "go touch the ___ and ____ and then come back." I am in no way judging this mom today but hopefully I'll remember the listening game when MJ gets older and doesn't want to wait patiently in line.

My little guy is sick. He has a sad cough and his nose and eyes are running :( he has a dr apt tomorrow morning and I hope everything goes well. He didn't respond to the soft sand noise at pat on Wednesday so the dr is going to check his ears to see if there's any fluid.
We went to the gun and sports show yesterday and had a good time. Dad was bummed that he wasn't with someone who really enjoyed the stuff. I just didn't want to encourage him to buy anything! :)
I did get to use the new ergo carrier while we were there. Love it! We started off with him on front bc it was a cold walk from the car and after awhile he was getting kind of heavy so we switched to the back carry. Without even getting him out!
And after a couple of hours at the show I went to change his diaper. Only to discover that he was still dry! I changed him again after dinner and again, still dry! He doesn't even tell me when he has to poop as often anymore. But he will go when I put him on the potty. That's exciting bc I'm noticing that he is making an effort to not go in his diaper. Yay!
Off to church I go. Dad is staying here with the babe today so we don't get any other church lovelies sicky.
